I HAVE to finish a book, no matter how bored I am. If I don't finish it, it "haunts" me for years.
Me too - I always hope it will get better and sometimes it does! :)
Life is too short to read a book I am not enjoying. If I've bought it, I just look at it as a gambling loss and move on to another book.
because james patterson, you KNOW we don't care what color the leaves are or how the sky looks, you 'stick with the story' and the first book i ever read that got me hooked on reading was 'kiss the girls' and i've read every one of your books and PLEASE write faster!!!!
Reading a boring book is unnecessary suffering

Will a fiction story of one hundred pages sell today in the market place? even though it may be a nice story to read.

Hi James, I agree with you. If I am not enjoying a book. I would simply set it down and walk away. I might get back to it and see if it is anymore interesting. Though, I can never say that to your books. Maximum Ride is my favorite along with the Middle School series!
I just published two new Amazon Kindle books Art Appreciation and Grantwriting ABC's free kindle unlimited and wonder how to get my books noticed for more sales?

I enjoy reading, and I refuse to make myself finish a book if I am not enjoying it. I obtain the majority of my books from the library so that makes my decision easier, but I will return it in a heartbeat if I am not enjoying the ride. I am happy to say that I usually enjoy books written by James Patterson. He is one of my go to authors.
I make myself finish. I am an optimist and sincerely hope the writer eventually has something to say and I give them a shot, then I determine whether or not to read them again.

Getting up and strutting out of a Broadway play in such a manner sounds kind of douchey to me.
I agree, life is just TOO short, unless I have requested a copy of a book via Netgalley. In that case, I suffer through (yesh, one novel turned out to be a romance, uck - I still get a bit shaky and nauseous with the thought. I dont know who ever associated romance novels with mysteries, but they should be, sell, I was going to say "drawn and quartered" but that might be going a mite far.... NAH! 😘
Same. I think everyone should do that. I don't know why we feel obligated to read something or watch something if we are bored

It makes sense for a movie, but BROADWAY. It’s the great white way! I certainly wish I could see a broadway show.
