I guess this explains why you are in my same re-read category as Anne McCaffrey and Mercedes Lackey, their world building is amazing, and so is yours. I would add Robert Heinlein and David Eddings to that as well, all great world builders of my youth.

I guess that's part of what makes you such a great writer. Most of us don't think past "I wish I could do....". You actually consider the ramifications of having certain abilities.

Me too! Those 4 were the authors of my youth. Incredible. And now I've added a fifth, Nalini, who has never disappointed.

One of my favorite writer is Gena Showalter. She has several different series that she has written. If you have never read her, please do. Nalini reminds me of her.

Yes, I have read quite a few Gena Showalter. I like her, she's good but not on quite the same level.

Anne McCaffrey's PERN books were the first Paranormal I read :D I read them from the library, I don't have any myself _ was a young adult at the time.
