I don't know! I didn't need to figure that out for either ELLA or FAIREST, so I never did.
Oh so Fairest takes place BEFORE Ella... Okay... See this question has been bugging me for YEARS! Glad I understand that now.
If Fairest takes place before Ella, why is Arieda looked down on at boarding school? Even if she's an innkeeper's daughter, she's the sister to the queen of Ayortha and the king's sister-in-law. Shouldn't the snobby girls be sucking up to her?
