It seems to have taken place roughly at the same time as Ella Enchanted, and Char spent a year in Ayortha. So is there a reason that we never see Char in Fairest?

Gail Carson Levine Thank you! FAIREST takes place a few years before ELLA, so Char wouldn't have been to Ayortha yet.
