You were already one of my husband's favorite authors, but I think this response just pushed all others out of the #1 spot! He is a huge basketball & baseball fan. We currently live in a major league city for both MLB & NBA, but I am a WI native (Badgers!) and my husband grew up a Tarheel. We too make sure to take our daughter each year to see games live. If you ever come to ATL, let my husband know so he can take you to see either a Braves game or the Hawks and check a huge item off his bucket list; to meet James Patterson ( and watch a game with him!) ;-)
