People have been asking me the same question my whole life- why do i read books that i have already enjoyed before? Of the two kinds of re-reading explained here, i was only able to justify the first to people around me. I did not know how to express the second kind... that i found something new every time i read the same book, that i found a version of myself preserved in those pages each time i read it...
