[close] WOMAG is a professional network of women and men promoting gender awareness in the agribusiness industry in Asia. We aspire to build a pool of future leaders who are equipped to address the industry’s challenges and foster diversity in the work place. In parallel with the industry events that we organise to discuss issues relating to agribusiness, we also do a lot of reading! We would love to share our agribusiness and food reading list with you. Of course, we are also very interested in gender equality and how to tackle the social and structural barriers that can prevent women from attaining better representation in leadership roles. There is some great literature on this topic! We would love to hear your comments on the books we've listed here, and any suggestions that you have for others that we should include.

[close] Krishi Janani Reading Group

[close] Graduate students and faculty from multiple departments in the College of Ag. are putting together a book club! The purpose of the book club is to discuss current issues in agricultural innovation and the food system from all of our perspectives across the college.

[close] Starting on December 1st and lasting through December 21st, Erik Marcus will lead a discussion of his book Meat Market: Animals, Ethics, & Money. We'll explore different approaches to advocating for vegan living and animal protection, and give considerable attention to possibilities surrounding the dismantlement of animal agribusiness. This group will feature participation by some of the best known advocates in the animal protection movement. It'll be a great opportunity for both beginning and long-time advocates to communicate with others who are passionate about animal protection, while discussing approaches that can lead to greater personal effectiveness.
