I like that the main gist of the story was given almost immediately. Someone had a baby; now the baby has passed. I also really like that we are getting into the court case early on in the book. I'm finding that learning about the Amish culture is extremely interesting. I feel like Katie slipped up calling the baby a boy to Ellie at the funeral and I wonder how that is going to play out. I'm wondering if this is maybe a case of something worse happening. I don't know why but I feel like the baby is not Samuels.

I feel like the book needed a character like ems mom to make you question people's motives but i do completely agree with your thoughts here!

I think all of the characters are just so well written in this book!

I agree if it was my first read i would have a ton more to say lol

All great observations Kat!

She doesn't know anything about cam and mia though does she? I forget lol

I really loved this whole book! It was such a tough topic but I feel if I was on the jury I would have made the same decision.

I really enjoyed the whole section. I found it all so interesting but I'm not going to write more for the same reason I didn't on the last section because I know what happens in the end.

I enjoy the way jodi does court cases too

That's cool! You can always jump in anytime ☺️
