35559 I have a question: I have the book Elevation by Stephen King
Elevation by Stephen King. It's the Kindle edition and is 160 Pages. I thought the rule said the books needed to be more than 160. So is it 161 Pages and up or does 160 work? Thanks.

35559 I will have 2 P books done tomorrow. One of them will also work for L if the P's are full. Then I have another book I could finish tomorrow for another L.

35559 I have a book Pompeii done this afternoon. I'm going to guess I can get 3 maybe 4 more books done this week. I have a ton of stuff coming in on Scibd tomorrow. All letters available. If we look to need something in particular let me know.
I run a busy sports bar and I'm pretty well tied up on Saturdays and Sundays but I can help until that point.

If someone wants to confirm for me that this book cover is purple enough, I can read it in time if we still need that bonus book. Let me know!

35559 Hi All. Sorry, I had a 5K race tonight so I'm getting a late start on the challenge.

I'm starting with a book by Chris Philbrook. That gives us a P in the Authors name to start. If it will work elsewhere. I'll let you know. Seems like people are already working on the special challenges so I'll jump into just spelling out the word. Good luck all!

35559 I am currently reading that Undead series and already have several from the library. I can read for any letter. If anyone would like me to start or work on a letter in particular, let me know. Otherwise I’ll probably just start at the beginning with P.

35559 Hi All! Happy to join the team. Challenge will start at 4pm for me. I'll see what I can do for the first weekend.

I haven't played a challenge of this sort before. Can I clarify that we are attempting to spell out the words Black and Blue?

Thanks!

35559 I can second that you posted that book. The correct one. I’ve never heard of the one that was challenged.

I like the thought of bingo, I'm not familiar with Wheelathon so I can't speak to that one. I've really enjoyed the challenge so far but I'm with Bethany, a little less cutthroat would be okay. I feel like it's such a hectic pace, almost like homework! I am really enjoying myself. Especially interacting with teammates. And it would be nice to learn how to maneuver around the website.

35559 The task is: Read a book with a lion. It doesn't say actual, alive lion. Just a lion.

Foo dogs are actually lions. In China, where foo dogs originated, they are called shi, meaning “lion,” or shishi, meaning “stone lion.

Chinese guardian lions - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese...

Chinese guardian lions or Imperial guardian lions, often miscalled "Foo Dogs" in the West, are a common representation of the lion in imperial China.

Here is a whole post: http://www.chinabuddhismencyclopedia....

Sorry all. I researched this before submitting to the group. I thought it should count.

35559 Hi Everyone! I'm excited to be part of the group. I'm behind the 8 ball here. So any help figuring out what's going on would be appreciated. I did find a website and logged in and saw our group and I believe the list of challenges. I can fill one of the open spots now but am not sure how to do it or if they are assigned. Thanks!

35559 I'm excited to start this challenge! I decided if my Sister can face her to-read shelf of 1700, I can start working on the measly 160 I have. Oldest books on my shelf are from 2015 I have 33 books but a few of them are in the middle of a series I haven't started yet. Excluding those books, I have 29. Go big or go home. 29 it is.
