Because I read pretty quickly, I’m also reading others that fit the categories (I’m always trying to whittle my tbr), but I know I’ll be using those for points."I glanced at points for most and they are horrible for points, but with the bonus for using the book Lisa selected its makes it worth it to power through the bad points.

When new tasks show up for Chipmunks, remember we can use any book finished after June 1st, even if it was read before the task was available.
So if you see a book that works for one that has already been read, we can use it. Once its assigned and checked in for this mini it can't be moved, but we can move around any other book to this mini.
Elinor wrote: "Thank you Lisa for adding the link in the SS. I can’t find a way to do it from my mobile unfortunately."It's definitely not easy that way. Just keep doing that and any of the captains can take the comment and make it a link. Thanks!

@Kirsten. Looks like I know what books you are reading for Hunt this month. :)

Kirsten. I read a book who has an author first name of X. I finished it today. I removed Nine Moons from the Chipmunk task

Checked in
I also hid the May books to make it (hopefully) easier to find your books and hid the completed/checked in books on the Chipmunks tab.

So we can finish out the Crayola Towers, I'm replacing Nicole's The Hating Game and Nanci's Group.
They were the only ones not read and we can fill them with books that have been read. Way to go team!!
Vi wrote: "I checked the new task - X-rays. In The Assassin's Blade, the MC gets hurt and a healer takes care of the wounds. What do you all think? Is this good enough?"I would say that counts.

Just checked in two Chipmunk tasks.
Elinor wrote: "Just wondering how fast we want/need to move on the Chipmunk challenge. I’d be happy to read The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison for task 13 but wouldn’t be starting before end of next week I expect.
..."I would say leave the prompt open until you start the book and then once you start claim it.
I would say this for even the fast readers .

With the chipmunk tasks we only get 10 so I wanted to keep it open. If I'd have started it I would have claimed it. :)

Chipmunk Task 12: Ten Tallest Towers 10 - China Zun - Read a book set in, or by an author from China
Vi wrote: "I just finished a book

@Jen it looks like one of your books is missing a title.

If we need a series with an X in it for the chipmunks, I have on my shelf (I just need to go through the librarians to get the alternate cover I have)."One of the captains has to "check it in" on the Official Spreadsheet, which I just did.
Task 11 is now available. X marks the spot - Read a book with a treasure hunt in it

Finally Done with May. That last book was a hard read.

Question: I have a book with rejected mates and one hooks up with others while they are separated. Would that be cheating?

After tonight, I'll be MIA until Monday evening. We are headed out of town for Memorial Day. On a good note, I should get lots of reading done on these next few days.

The tasks should automatically update. When I moved the page to the planning sheet, I moved it all and made sure it worked. I also tested to make sure the planning and official came up with the same results. (only did like two or three extra tasks though)

I think in general we want to prioritize the Chipmunk books. We only get 10 tasks at a time and books will have to be read in order to see the next on the list.
