When I came up on this haunting painting by artist Heather Murray I knew it captured the spirit of regal, heartfelt suffering - but WITH HOPE in her eyes. I adore this picture of Rita Hayworth. And when I look at this and others, I'm reminded of the not so realistic image of a woman: glamorous, witty, flawless, all understanding, while adventurous. Sure, if you have all that GREAT. But like grief - we must get the truth out in the open. Thank you to Rita. This is me at 7 after loosing my mother. I became untethered in my grief. It is only now more than 46 years later that I look back and smile at those sad years - for what I have learned and want to share.
