The United Nations declared January 2015 to December 2024 as UN International Decade for People of African Descent. This is a human rights initiative from the UN Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent (WGEPAD), based in the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Geneva, Switzerland.
