[close] This is a discussion about political fiction. If we all hate the political situation in our country, no matter who is to blame, why would anyone read political fiction? Is it simply in the hope that we'll see our own views reinforced? Do we hope to discover a better alternative to the reality we face? Is it simply to get away from that reality? How closely should political fiction mirror reality? What are the limits of literary license in political fiction? Sticking to these sorts of questions is the primary rule. As a secondary rule, if you really have to get something off your chest, limit your rant to 25 or fewer words. All assertions of fact will be checked and either confirmed or rejected.
