I am not going to rate this book since for the first half of the book, I was in a lot of post-surgical pain and couldn’t concentrate. My feelings of it being a little hard to follow might not be the book’s fault.

I really ended up enjoying it, though. If I was going to rate it based on my enjoyment alone, I would give it 4 stars. I found it unique and fun despite some heavy content.

I really don't know what to say about this book. There were parts I really enjoyed and some that made me roll my eyes. To be fair, I am not a huge fan of contemporary settings. I didn't find myself overly concerned for the characters, and their personalities seemed one dimensional a lot of the time. There were times I wanted to tell the author to get on with it already, as some scenes didn't feel like they moved the plot or developed the characters in any way. Welcome to Fae Cafe" has a fun concept that mixes fantasy with a coffee shop vibe, which initially drew me in. The idea of a fae-run cafe with a quirky, magical twist is unique, and I enjoyed the creative setup and the lighthearted approach to the supernatural. The characters are interesting, especially with the fae elements woven into their personalities, and there are plenty of amusing moments. I will die from how cute this book is! It has all my favourite aspects of a book from cozy fantasy to bookish cafe vibes. There is a broody fae prince who will try to enchant you, the mysterious girl who broke fae law and three awkward fae assassains trying to blend into the human world. With a touch of fae magic and some choc chip cookies, once you start reading, you'll not be able to stop. You have been warned!

This was adorable, quirky & fun. The romance was sweet, but I would’ve liked a bit more. The tongue in cheek humor was such a great part of this book. A delightful read.
