When I first started this book, I didn't think I'd like it. I had a hard time following when things were happening when, and I found the fae kingdom to be a bit dark. But then it became so hilarious, sweet, and cozy my reservations faded away and now I can say officially that I like this story. Kate and Cress are adorable together, the assassin brothers are downright funny and sweet, and Grandma .... I loved how she helped Cress. This was such a fun read with humor sprinkled throughout the pages.I enjoyed the story and seeing Kate along with the fae in the human world. This is my first book by this author and would like to read some more of her work. I am looking forward to the next book!

Pros:

- Lattes
- Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies
- General coziness

Cons:

- Lack of logic
- Much suspension of disbelief required

Shelves: all-time-favourites, clean-light-romance

I will die from how cute this book is! It has all my favourite aspects of a book from cozy fantasy to bookish cafe vibes. There is a broody fae prince who will try to enchant you, the mysterious girl who broke fae law and three awkward fae assassains trying to blend into the human world. With a touch of fae magic and some choc chip cookies, once you start reading, you'll not be able to stop. You have been warned!
