I am a fan of McAllister. I have liked all her books to date. I must admit this is not my favorite. I thought it started off well and had all the twists that her books usually take, but somewhere about the middle I thought it started to stumble. It seemed to drag a little bit and the plot of the story seemed to take a back seat. It just seemed to ramble on for a bit. I would say the first third and the last third of the book read the best. Really two and a half stars. I didn't like the writing style, which was a combination of a thriller with a domestic drama. I thought it slowed the pace down. An ok but not great reading experience.
