I’ve seen a lot of conflicting points of view on this book. But I completely enjoyed myself reading this, and it was a great time.

I love a strong female protagonist. Saeris was fiery, sassy, strong, and powerful. She never stopped fighting and I loved that.

I love Kingfisher. He is everything I love in a gorgeous, dark, complicated, tormented fantasy character. His walls are up, he protects his vulnerability which makes it wonderful watching those walls slowly fall and starting to see the true

This audiobook was so enjoyable. The pace was slow at first, but to be expected as part of the world building of a first-in-series book. Even some of the minor characters were good! Some our comic relief, but nothing cheesy lol!! Definitely had some great spice, but very charac ...more

Love me a brooding, emotionally tortured hero as the love interest 🫠 And yes, I’m a little concerned about what that says about me. Kingfisher was perfection. Except for the name… Seriously, how did the author think that sounded good? And did the publisher not suggest picking something better? I just Googled names of birds and found several more advantageous options…

Horrible MMC name aside, Quicksilver was a joyride and surprisingly funny. Carrion was a hoot, pretty much everything that came ou
