I actually went into this blind, not knowing it was vampires! It’s a very slow start (and takes longer than I’d like to get going - if it wasn’t this author, I might have given up). Anyway, slow start and not knowing the premise, I didn’t see where it was heading, towards lots of blood! I don’t always like a split-timelines book, as the weaving setup and lining everything up, can take away from the story. Especially when they jump too frequently (and you’re more into one storyline than another)
