Garvis-Graves definitely writes the good stuff! I could not have loved this STORY any more than I did -- it was perfect in every way -- all the "feels" are there, both Ian and Kate are top-notch unforgettable characters, and the plot is spiked with new and refreshing material and written with so much gusto and wit that even when things are going a little rough, this couple is still a mighty force. This is the first Garvis-Graves I've read since her singular On the Island and it's a cause for celebration as she delivers an intelligent, witty romance between two brilliant people.
I felt the first half was a little stronger as a little suspense was added to the second half which was not entirely resolved in the HFN. Still, I was satisfied with the ending and rate this a 4.5 ...more

A funny, romantic and at times suspenseful read with a twist that was hard to put down!
Kate gave up her law career to run a non-profit food bank because she wanted to make a difference in the world and really connect with people. The food bank is struggling though so she decides to go on TV to raise awareness and ask for donations "for the babies".Then she starts getting an anonymous donation over a couple months that really makes a difference.
