I liked this book better than the Lunar Chronicles! I thought the back story of how the queen of hearts became the queen of hearts was very interesting. I loved how all the characters from the original Alice in Wonderland were in this story. The characters and voices were perfect representations of themselves. Such fun!
3.5 stars I liked this a lot... but parts of it was slow that's why I lowered it a little star wise. I liked the characters and how the author made Wonderland her own. I instantly fell for the love interest (Jest). I was always hungry while reading this book since Cath was a baker and kept talking about sweets. I hated the Cheshire Cat. I liked how it was Alice in Wonderland without being Alice in Wonderland. I can't wait to read more from the queen of retellings.

Didn't like it as much as the Lunar Chronicles. I think it could have been like 100-150 pages shorter and the ending is what saved it from a 3-star rating.
