i received an advanced review copy from the publisher via netgalley in exchange for an honest review. this did not affect my rating.
in this finale to the deathless trilogy, deka is determined to take down the gods, which requires her figuring out the source of her own divinity.
i’ve been keeping up with this series since 2021, so it was very hard to say goodbye to everyone with this book! i really wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, yet somehow it still exceeded my expect ...more

Maybe 3.5...
This was a solid series. The first book did a great job of introducing us to the world and the laws, and then the second book just ramped it up, so I was super pumped to dive into the final installment. And while I did enjoy it, I wasn't blown away.
This book starts off with Deka extremely angry at everything - and while I don't really blame her, she's treating everyone around her horribly. But she's in pain and her human body is deteriorating at a rapid pace. She's literally running ...more

This series has been unique, dark, and intriguing. Deka and her friends have been through a lot in the first two books and now it's time for the final showdown.
I did feel like the books were bloodier and more compelling earlier on and the final installment was a bit lighter and not as thrilling. I am happy to see the characters catch a break at times, it just wasn't as exciting to me.

I received an ARC of this book via netgalley. I have read and enjoyed the previous books in this series.
I liked how the author gave a brief overview of events leading up to the start of book 3 before moving onto the main action.
There is a wonderful cast of characters and the action is never predictable as Deka now sets out the final part of her journey. Will she or will she not become eternal and, if she does, how will she reign and what will she do with those who have done everything they can to ...more

This was less brutal than the proceeding books. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still violent and blood thirsty, but definitely tamer in that none of the characters were repeatedly tortured and abused beyond dying slowly in excruciating pain. I know that still sounds bad, but this was a much gentler journey, more about discovery and learning to harness powers to defeat the gods. They’re free of their oppressors and just trying to stay that way.

The Eternal Ones Review on K-Books
The Deathless Series fast became a favourite YA Fantasy series of mine when I read book 1 a few years ago. I absolutely loved this rich fantasy world full of lies and deception and I absolutely zoomed through the first two books. Due to this, there were no words for how excited I was to get an ARC of the final book in this series. I was so excited to dive in and to see how it all ended for Deka and her friends.
