What Members Thought

This is a cute fairy tale, but lacks the sophistication and emotional depth of her Owl in Love or The Woman in the Wall.

A traditional fairy tale novelized. Well done!

Really enjoyed it, was a nice fairy tale. quick read. When a poor goose girl is kind to a hag she is rewarded with beauty, magical hair that sheds gold dust and tears that crystallize into diamonds. This, of course, ends up causing her a great deal of trouble. With the help of the geese and her hair she escapes two or three life-threatening situations, restores order to the kingdom and falls in love.

I finally got around to reading this, though it was recommended to me four or five years ago. It was very cute, and incorporated a lot of fairy tale elements into it. The writing was witty and humorous, and I'm glad to own a copy of it now!
