A sweet story of young star-crossed love that also manages to be creepy as hell.
Seriously, where were the YA books like this when I was in high school!!
Aside from graphic depictions of what it must be like to be chewed on by wolves, what upset me the most was the main character's parents. They were just awful! Not abusive, just criminally selfish, immature and neglectful. Not that I am a perfect parent myself, but I like to think I would at least know if my daughter were...you know...doing it wi

I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of this book as Stiefvater sets the scene through both Grace's and Sam's eyes. I liked the fact that Stiefvater took a slightly different take on the werewolf story as their temperature determines whether they change or not rather than the usual full moon. The prose is both descriptive and imaginative and really sucks you in, giving you goosebumps as the temperature drops. Unfortunetly I felt it went a bit downhill when Grace and Sam got together with a sterot ...more

Maybe it was all the hype about this book but I think I had something else in mind when I started reading this. I thought it was good but maybe a little boring at times. My favourite characters weren't even the main two. I really liked Beck and Isabel. Now they were exciting.

I enjoyed the sad tone of the book. Grace's despair at the end was delightful... in a non sadistic kind of way. I just really enjoy when an author can put me in the characters shoes.

I found the ending a little confusing. I

I really like Maggie Stiefvater and I heard fantastic things about this book. But after thoughtful consideration, I had to knock it down to a three. I liked it, but it wasn't amazing.

For one, there was a lot missing that I needed. I liked how Grace and Sam have been watching over each other since they were young, I thought their relationship was extremely sweet. But it happened a little too quickly for my liking. The romance was always good, but it was odd how Sam practically lives in Grace's r

Grace is attacked by wolves as a child and is fascianted by the wolves in the woods ever since. Esp. the one with the golden eyes. Sam is that wolf and after years of watching each other they finally connect and their lives change.

An interesting take on the werewolf genre. Where temperature causes the change and some very interesting characters as a result.

There are so many reviews so I am going to keep it short and sweet.

I loved this book. It made me laugh, it made me cry and it made me hope.

I say this is a must read and I can't wait for the next book in the

series.

Quite good. I liked the two main characters, and I found the idea with the temperature intriguing and original. Still not decided if I want to continue reading the series. But it was a good read!
