What the hell was this?

Seriously, we waited how long for Torin’s book to get this? I feel like I was punk’d while reading. The fortress is a Frat house and Torin came across as a whiney indecisive bitch while wearing a bunch of stupid t-shirts.

What happened to shy, sweet, suave and nerdy Torin? What happened to the pervert we knew that played with the computers in his room and probably himself? Where was THAT guy?

Why was the demon scared of Keeley? Shouldn’t it like her because it gets to “play What the hell was this?

Why was the demon scared of Keeley? Shouldn’t it like her because it gets to “play with her”? One would think that Disease would not be able to keep its mouth shut now that it has a willing participant.
And shouldn’t Torin be dead by now anyway? All the rest of the Lords have to satisfy their demons every now and then or they would go crazy. But Torin is still alive and able to function with cognitive skills. Unless you count his behavior in this book with him being a little bitch as him going crazy. If that’s the case, it all makes sense.
And the antidote to Torin Disease! Are you kidding me? It’s a joke. It’s a shortcut to HEA. SO Torin could've been out banging anything and anyone while playing “I’m a little teacup,” all he wanted because of his magic semen? Seriously?

The next point of annoyance for me and my friends seems to be Galen being invited to dinner at the end. Okay, let me see if I can figure this one out:
I’m friends with Laurie, Cynthia, and Berna. Cynthia loses her damn mind and chops off Berna’s head. In retaliation, Laurie cuts off Cynthia’s head. Laurie and I head to a bar to drown our sorrows in Whiskey and Vodka. The next day, Cynthia comes back to life and Laurie then invites her out for drinks with us and wonders why I’m not thrilled Cynthia is there. Does that sound right?
What the hell? Then he has the gall to ask for help with Legion? Or as he knows her from her stripper days as Honey.

The last thing I want to address that I just can’t seem to wrap my head around is this: How many immortals are in Budapest where they can have their own club?

I blame Cronus for all of this. If he hadn’t sent Mari to Torin in the first place, we wouldn’t have had to put up with 489 pages of this.

I've been a fan of this series since the start. Over the years, several warriors' books lacked the HELLYEAH! that I'd come to expect from Gena's Lords. So, I was equally incredibly anxious and nervous about reading Torin's book.

THE GLOVES ARE OFF!

Book 11 in the series, and although some books I prefer to others, I am still engaged in the overall story arc and I am looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.

Torin is the keeper of Disease and to be honest I struggled in the beginning with his story. I can't quite put my finger on what was missing, and it did pick up. I enjoyed Keeley's interactions with the other women, especially Anya. ...more
