Well, this was certainly a book I could relate to––and judging by the book's popularity and widespread praise, I know I'm not the only one.

I've loved Fangirl with the force of a thousand suns and I wish I could read it again for the first time. Cath is sooo cute and awkward and Levi is such a nice guy, and all the other characters are amazing too. And I've enjoyed so much the Simon Snow world that it's been like knowing the fandom.
Thank you, Rainbow Rowell (of course, now I need to read asap Eleanor & Park).

Well, that was a let down.

I've seen this book on several "best of" lists so I picked it up for my kindle app yesterday.

Here are some random, slightly spoilerish but not really, thoughts.

Cath is spineless until about 95% of the way in. I don't like spineless.

You never really get a feel on what everyone looks like. Yes, we know that Levi has this weird widow's peak going on. That's a terrible explanation of what he looks like. Cath is at one p ...more

I absolutely loved this book. Cath reminded me of me about six or seven years ago during the height of my fan-fic writing days. I was even mostly into Harry Potter, too. Lol! I really liked how it didn't put down fan-fic or it's writers or call it a waste of time or not real writing, other than Prof Piper of course, and gave fan-fiction and it's authors their day in the sun. I really enjoyed reading this book. You really got to know the main character and could sympathize with her. I wish the author had address some of her issues more, or included an epilog. But it was a very good story. I blew threw it in a day. It was hard to put down.
