Malala is a brilliant, courageous person, and I am in awe of her.
Not an insignificant number of reviews of the audiobook complain about the narrator. Come on. Yes, she has an accent, but I loved that she could pronounce all the words as they should have been pronounced.
Other reviews complained about the amount of history stuffed into the book. Personally, I loved the portions that detailed the history of Pakistan. I know embarrassingly little about the region, and this background was great to pr ...more

More than half of this book was written about events that took place before Malala was even 10 years old, so I felt like I was reading her father's opinions and interpretations of what was happening then. According to this book there are lots of different opinions among the residents of Pakistan, just as in the U.S., and they also like conspiracy theories.
