Well-written, well-constructed, and deeply moving. This is a middle-grade book directed to a middle-grade audience, but it's so deftly told that it's powerful for any age. ...more

I read the first chapter and then stopped reading for a while because life got in the way. Then I decided to go outside and lay out in my lounge chair to read and get my mind away from being inside all day. I finished reading the rest of this book and it has left me in a a whirl of emotions. This book will certainly linger for a very long time.

A gripping novel for a reader of any age. I listened to this book to and from work, and often had to compose myself before entering either due to the emotional pull this story had on me.

It is a short read and well worthwhile.
