It’s premise is each section was an hour. A group of teens head out to celebrate Spring Break; these group decided to RV the way there rather than flying.

They get a flat tire and lost and then all chaos ensues; next they are getting shot at and to get out of it, they must reveal their darkest secrets and work out WHO holds the secret the gunman wants and WHY!

I quite liked this and my students certainly did. It only took me most of the month to read because I was stopping so as not to accidently spoil my students when we discussed the book. I'm excited to read the rest of the Good Girl's Guide to Murder series because Jackson is quickly becoming one of my favorite YA suspense/thriller authors.
In this one, Red and Maddy were great characters, Oliver was fun to hate and I didn't see the twist coming (any of them except the first). Not sure I absolutely ...more

Shelves: 2023-read-in, full-of-swearing, objectionable-material, one-and-done, thriller, crime

I finished it because I wanted to find out THE SECRET, but this will be my only time reading this. Waaaaay too many F-words. Excessive swearing detracts from the story and is entirely unnecessary. As a thriller, this kept my attention, and there are some good plot twists. I just hope she tones down the swearing for her other books.
