I think I enjoyed this better than the other books in the series. It is not as much of a sappy romance filled with cheesy moments. Yes, some of that is present, but overall it is a story about two people growing into and accepting the roles they are destined to fill. Kishan has to learn to live with the choice to stay behind and be Damon, while Ana has to learn to overcome her traumatic past and trust Kishan. This was so, so, so good! After Kishan volunteering to stay in the past with Anamika in the previous book, I was so happy to learn that he would be getting a love story of his own. But this is so much more than that. It’s also a story of him growing and becoming a true man. A man worthy of a woman like Anamika. And she is something.
