This was an entertaining thriller. I liked the main character and how she would get out of tough spots.

I love books with strong female leads that act like special forces or spies. This was may be confusing to some with different timelines sprinkled throughout. I would wholeheartedly support a screen adaptation of this (not that any motion picture studio asked my opinion).

First Lie Wins is probably my first book with a con artist as the main character. I wasn't expecting much despite the hype because I'm not so keen about con artist stories, even in movies, but I think that's all going to change because of this book. I can't believe this is Ashley Elston's debut because it was written so well!

I really enjoyed this story. I kept thinking it would make a really good movie. I read in the authors acknowledgement that it will be. Kept me guessing with lots of twists. Well done.
