The Hunger Games would been a lot better if it was a standalong novel like it was originally until the money rolled in. I say that because I enjoyed the first half of the book, even though I though all the districts could have been talked about in detail, even though it was not needed. This book was amazing. Since I took the chance and read Hunger Games I became hooked instantly. So logically as soon as I finished it I began this book. In my opinion this book was even better than the first. I feel this way for the simple reason that there wasn’t time wasted on character development. We as the reader learn all about the main characters in the first book so with Catching Fire it jumps right into the action and picks up right were the first left off.

Another great book although it seemed a little choppy in places. The ending left me feeling like I needed to pick the book back up and re read the last chapter. I'd gotten mixed reviews on this book before reading it and I can agree with them.

This like the first is one of those books that pulls you in with the characters. You fall in love with one and want to follow them till the end. Katniss is that character. You can not help but fall in love with her and want her to win. I would recommend this to anyone that thought about it......This trilogy is WELL worth the time and money....

I loved it. Especially the last 2 chapters. The uprising. President Snow. Katniss' wedding dress turned to a mockingjay costume. Her tour at Rue's district. Tributes holding hands. Stupendous! A real cliffhanger at the end, but it doesn't matter, I have the final book.
