Great and necessary book tracing the history of US immigration policy from the US-backed death squads in Latin America to the current crisis, told vividly through real human stories from refugees, activists and other undocumented folks.

This is a pretty solid history of the United States’ disastrous impact on the countries of the Northern Triangle, and the repercussions in terms of migration that are still ongoing today. And about 10 years ago, it might have been a great source for understanding the immigration crisis at the US border.
