Friendships with homo-romantic vibes between straight characters
Sorry for this lousy title. I simply can't figure how to pin these relationships...
...you know the ones where two guys who are socially labelled straight because they love their women, both emotionnally and physically, also nurture an extrely precious frienship with another guy.
. Precisious as in world shattering, emotionally intimate yet naturally asexual and queer romantic.
. Queer as in they both call it a friendship and don't dare to think it romantic because their society wouldn't accept it, and it's never been camp anyway. Still they both believe they are poly soulemates or something.
. Straight as in there is zero sexual tension involved in their mutual devotion and embraces and they couldn't stand to imagine having to choose between their women and their special friends.
*
(Ok. Let's try that again. With fancy labels this time.)
Homo relationship of poly-biromantic homoace males or females heterosexuals.
...Err...
*
In these books, one of the main characters is in a queer-platonic partnership with the same gender, but still only really/fully sexually interested in the opposite gender.
Books featuring reverse harems are okay as long as the friendships aren't weakened by the arrangement.
No menage romance/erotica (since it implies bisexuality...which isn't the focus of this list).

Hello.
If I'm not mistaken, both of the Dreamhealers characters eventually end up marrying another character who is considered belonging to "opposite" sex of their biology, whom they both love (albeit differently).
That might not make them "straight", but that title is lousy. Their situations and how their societies view them still qualify to the description.
Thanks for your input.
