Fantasy Young Adult Fiction by African-Americans of the 2020s
This list is for young adult books featuring magic & other mythical beings released from 2020 to 2029.
*Please DO NOT put hoodlit, self-published books, memoirs, or other non-fiction genres. English titles only. US Publications only.
Books must meet this criteria to be on this list:
1.) The protagonist must be African-American if the story is based in the USA.
2.) The protagonist's history and culture must be African-American if the story is based in the USA.
3.) The point of view can be race only. Intersectionality isn't allowed.
4.) Any romance must be M/F. Nuclear black families only.
5.) Fantasy/Science fiction books ARE ALLOWED especially if the books leans more FANTASY than science fiction.
