For a librarian, yes, as we can remove books from the list (as long as we are abolutely sure we are right in removing them).

Eight books in the top ten are by the same author; I don't know any of them, so I can't judge, but such a thing does make me wonder whether all of these books are really in verse or whether the list is spammed....

They are all written in verse.

Well, I can't :) (or am to stupid to find the remove button). Can only add books to the list.

You are a librarian so you should be able to. If you wish, click on "edit" next to the group description and then at the bottom of the next page "remove particular books". Then you can go through the list and click on "delete this book".
You can also post in the librarian group asking for those particular books to be removed. But it would probably be much faster for you to do it.

Thanks for your help.

Seems we keep crossing paths :-) The title of the list says 'Novels in verse', which my Dutch translation of Pan Tadeusz definitely is...
Room (#141) shouldn't be on this list though, as it is not a novel in verse, and has been removed. As for all the others; apart from the ones I voted for, I haven't read them, so I can't judge.

I've noticed just now that you've deleted various books, some of which you shouldn't have, in my opinion...
Do mention removed titles, as most librarians do when they remove books from a list.
I've put Heer Tadeusz of De laatste strooptocht in Litouwen, as well as my other votes, if I can remember them, back on this list, as I disagree with you removing them.

Hello, again. :)
Pan Tadeusz is not a novel. It is an epic poem. The same as "Paradise lost", the "Aeneid" or the "Iliad"

The title of the list says 'Novels in verse', which I interpreted differently from you, obviously. There was a time when novels as such didn't exist, as the novel didn't appear till the 18th century (although that's debatable, like most other things).
Sarah is the only one who can answer what is meant by 'novels in verse', as she is the creator of this list and it is her meaning of the title that counts...

I've just now noticed you edited your comment. I had written a comment with a list of books not suitable (in my opinion) to this list and Lobstergirl said I could delete them myself (and explained how to do it). I didn't know the numbers in the list are not enough (as I only afterwards noticed the list rearranges itself (duh!). So thank you for reminding me to leave a note on the books I deleted.
(Hopefully I can remember them all)
Deleted: Iliad, Odyssey, Metamorphoses, Aeneid, Beowulf, Divine Comedy, Orlando Furioso, Faerie Queene, Paradise Lost, Pan Tadeusz, Ring of the Nibelung, Hunting of the snark, Omeros, The Waves, The Book Thief, Love Story, Rob Roy.
(I promise to include the links to the books in the future)

I urged deletions before I read the wikipedia entry on verse novels, which may be helpful.....

Anyone can add books to this list.
To me, verse is not the same as prose (and I have my doubts about so many titles on this list....)
