I am currently reading the Noble Dead Series by Barb and J.C. Hendee. I recommend this book to anyone who loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lord of the Rings. Currently I am on book 6 and can't put them down. She is half human/half vampire, he is half elf/half human and together they kill vampires. I love the plot, the characters, and overall the whole story.

I love the witches in the Anne Bishop Black Jewels series; Daughter of the blood, Heir to the Shadows, Queen of the Darkness and Tangled Webs. they are so real, and the magic world so believable

I'm obsessed with fantisy series and can't stop reading! I'm currently reading Tricksters choice by Tamora Peirce, then I'm going to read the sequel Triksters Queen and hopefully compleate 100 books by the end of 2009. I looked at his list and found that I couldn't stop adding books to my to-read list. This is fantastic!

I think people who love paranormal romances like twilight and the sweep series ect. should read Juliette Marillier. She is an amazing artist and her books contain true magic.

I love reading books about vampires, witches and other weird stuff with magic in. Although everyone has a different idea of what they are. People who like Twilight can try Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy. Its like the same but I think its better.... :)

Can we count elements of Wiccan belief, without actual witches? If so, The Ballad of Young Tam Lin (romantic fantasy) should be on the list. There's the mundane side (Scottish borders), and the magical side ("Summerland," called Elfland by some). Devas and elemental spirits, and the immortal (and ultra-sexy) Daniu, Queen of Summerland. Gotta read this.

It's so hard to choose just one book. They may all be about supernatural beings or vampires and werewolves but they are all so different! For witches I would have to choose Anne Rice's The Witching Hour- the best book about witches I've read- hands down. For vamps - so hard- but I will have to go with the Sookie Stackhouse series. LOVE the vamps in those books! A close second would be the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

I can't remember the name of the book/series, please help!?
i remember this was a series of at least three books. In the first a witch that lives in a sentient house falls in love with a vampire, and they manage to make love without him feeding of her. The point was that it this was impossible to do, so when he manages not to drink her blood during sex, he gets her pregnant and doesn't live of blood any more , but on energy from sex.. In the second book, the witches estranged sister(who has a kid daughter) comes to town. She is a hunter that kills vamps and other supernaturals. She is approached by some powerful vamps who want to breed children on her (because of her sister), and she has to escape. At some point , a magical portal to a long lost prison for fae and other bad supernaturals opens up in an alley way , and a war ensues in the third book or so :D
i now i am terrible at describing and storytelling but i've done my best and i hope it helps.
OH I think the first vamp drives a bike :D

Try the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton (if you're old enough) or the Night world series by LJ Smith. These were LONG before Twilght and MUCH better written

Read "Sands of Time" It's different but with enough traditional to appease. ISBN: 978-1518815232 The first book just came out, it's VERY short, but the beginning of a huge series.

anybody know the name of this book: ( might have been on wattspad)

Basically it is about three sisters who are witches. This story specifically has to do with one of the sisters who falls in love with a vampire ( everyone is afraid of/lives in the dark realm ( cant go out in the sunlight) and is covered in tattoos. She summons him at night and slowly they start to fall in love. Side note ; he is on a mission to kill off these other beings that murdered his people. ( there was only one of those things left i believe that he was still looking for it) it ends with both him and the witch moving to the dark realm and living together
