Do you want to have a more defined schedule and number of pages per week to tackle Against the Day?

Yes, I think it would work out better to follow a defined schedule.

Dave The choice I wanted to make was "all of the above." A schedule would give the structure some are asking for but still give the flexibility to read at your own pace if you choose.

I have already realized this is going to be slow reading for me. I covered 50 pages in two hours yesterday. Went back and reread several pages a few times, stopped frequently to look up historical, cultural, geographical etc. references and allusions.

This is basically what I was asking for but Dave put it much more succinctly.

Dawn A schedule would give us a much better experience together as a group . This soup allow us to meet on certain days to talk about certain topics and keep us motivated with our reading . As we read and each of us discover links to add to our material we can share these in new topics along the way . It may even be fun to develop some quizzes just for fun ! A long read such as this will need to include some lively activities to keep us going . I am sure we can create some fun . We may even have an Internet scavenger hunt to find a specific answer ! Well , that is my two cents for now ! I guess the school teacher popped out in me for a bit . If I develop a competition , I would be willing to donate a gift card from Amazon or Kindle or whatever ! Fun things can happen for Christmas too as we interact !

Good evening all ... Dawn
