Hi! I've started reading Three dark crowns, and so far I'm really enjoying it! But I have two doubts: maybe I didn't read with enough attention, but I didn't understand how it is fathomed which princess has which power when they are still very little. Moreover, are there only 4 kinds of power? (Counting also the war power) Have the princesses got always the same three powers? Thanks!! :D

Hi Stefania! I'm glad that you're enjoying Three Dark Crowns! Lots of questions in here, so I'll get cracking.
The queen knows what the triplets are when they are born. She announces it at the time of birth along with their names. It's a mystical thing, a characteristic of the queens, I could go into this more but it would get long.
On the island there are elementals, poisoners, naturalists, the war gifted, and the sight gifted. There are also the giftless. A queen can be any of those but some are more rare than others, and of course oracle queens with the sight gift are drowned at birth. Most rare are the fourth borns, called Blue Queens, pretty much rule instantly and her sisters immediately killed.
Queens don't always have the same gifts, but occasionally two will be born both oracles, or both naturalists, etc.
You may have already hit the part of the book where some of this is explained, but I hope these answers gave a little extra :)

Hello! I just finished 3 dark crowns. When will the next book be out? I can not wait..I neeeds it now!!! I enjoyed all your characters. Marabellas Love for her sisiters, Arsinoes stubbornness and wildness, and Katherines courage to keep going. I wasn't sure about Billy at first, but I ended up loving his loyalty. Pietyr on the other that was a total shocker, which I still can't get over.

Hi! I don’t know if it’s a spoiler because the books are all out now, but if no one had read them, then it definitely would be. I will try to phrase in a way that doesn’t ruin anything. Why would a queen lie about the gifts of her triplets? Do they always know who has which gift? I’m halfway through book 5 (yay!) did I miss her reasoning? Thanks so much for bringing us into your world!
