Goodreads asked Pamela Hart:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Pamela Hart I once did a lot of work with various law enforcement agencies in Australia, both writing and researching, and working particularly in the area of managing people who come forward to report misconduct or corruption within the agency, so their lives and careers aren't ruined.

This included getting a Churchill Fellowship to look at how North American law enforcement agencies managed corruption. I spent some time with the NYPD and a number of other agencies in the US. Now, over the years (and especially on that trip), I heard a LOT of stories from the detectives I worked with... some of them were confidential, of course, but some of them weren't, and would make great mysteries!

My own life (perhaps fortunately) is devoid of mysteries... unless you count that time as a kid when my Easter Eggs mysteriously disappeared... but I'm pretty sure my brother was the culprit!
