Just finished All Grown Up. Amazing. I gave it five stars. I'm not buttering you up in preparation for asking a question, I'm just stunned right now from reading it. And I do have a question. Do you fit writing around your day job? If not, did you ever? I'm trying to figure out how to make ends meet as a bookseller, get a higher paying job (copywriting, perhaps?) and not abandon my creative writing.

Writing is now my day job, but I used to have one. I often would take freelance gigs copywriting and work really intensely for a few months at a time and then take a month or two off and just write furiously the entire time. That's how I wrote my first few books. It was my goal to make it my day job so I just kept writing until it was. (It took me about eight years to get there, so don't think I am making it sound simple.)
