Hi Meredith, I literally just finished reading "If I Was Your Girl" hours ago and I loved this book and I wish that everyone regardless of gender, sexuality, or views on the LGBT community would read it. I read the 'authors note' section and you should not feel nervous about people reading this at all. Those who respond negatively are just closed minded and ignorant. Hope to see more from you?
Meredith Russo
Of course! I couldn't stop writing if I wanted to. And thank you so much. :)

Hi! Reading 'If I Was Your Girl' and 'Birthday,' I noticed that both Morgan and Amanda's dads were traditionally masculine guys who had trouble accepting their daughters' gender identities but then ended up coming around and supporting them. It's a nice change utterly unsupportive most dads of transgender characters are, and I was wondering since the arcs had some similarities if your dad was kind of similar? :)

How much of this book is autobiographical? Have you ever attempted suicide? Have you been attacked physically as Amanda was? I hope not, but I fear that you have. You do not have to answer these questions if you do not want to (of course). Thank you for writing this book. You are amazing. The world needs more people like you: brave and talented. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Also, when is your next book coming out?

So I am straight and was looking for books and your title piqued my interest. Saying that I really enjoyed it. I could relate to some of the characters in not understanding Amanda fully and having questions about her. I loved that her mom supported her through it all. I could only imagine how hard it is to go through all that and not fully understand what's going on but to have support must help. ?
