I am so impressed with your character development - by the end of a book, it feels like I know the character personally! How do these complex characters come to be?

Taylor Jenkins Reid Thank you so much, Sharon. I work very hard to imagine these people in full color in my imagination. People don't make any sense and I try to make sure that the people in my stories have their moments when they don't make a lot of sense, either. I try to make sure they are, first and foremost, honest with the reader -- warts and all.
