I've always been very fascinated with the concepts of fate/chance and the butterfly effect. How does one small thing effect so many other things around it? And is anything in our life predestined?
I was obsessed with the movie Sliding Doors as a teenager and I'd always had in my mind that I wanted to explore a similar idea.
Oddly enough, I'd wanted to write something like Maybe in Another Life for so long that it was harder to initially come up with the story for it. I had too many ideas, too many directions I wanted to go in. So I had to really sit down and limit my story to what I could handle in a book.
