Hi, Ms. Taylor, Who is your inspiration behind writing? Did you start as a writer or did you have other interests like theater or singing?

Hi! I started my career going to film school and moving to Los Angeles to work in feature film casting. I had almost no idea that I wanted to be a writer. It wasn't until I started blogging for fun that I realized I really enjoyed writing. Once I did that for a little while, I decided to try my hand at fiction. And that's when I absolutely fell in love.
Looking back on it, there were signs that I enjoyed writing. There were essays in high school that I took an inordinate amount of pride in. There were times I'd be on a bus or a train and pass the time writing little snippets of something in a notebook.
But I don't think I was ready to see it until I was in my twenties. Sometimes we make things things wait for our schedule, I think.
