Hi Laura! I was just wondering; how do you feel about George IV? He is treated so harshly in fiction and while he was by no means faultless (far from it!) I feel like authors often completely forget (or simply ignore) the good sides of his personality, which is a shame.

Laura Purcell That's a very good point, and something that hit home when I was writing about Queen Charlotte. Although he caused her endless trouble, she loved her son dearly and I had to look at him through a mother's eyes. He certainly had some excellent sides to his character. To be honest, I don't think he was very well mentally, and people don't seem to take that into consideration before they judge him.
