I absolutely loved The Breakdown! I didn't see the twist coming and I got so mad at the specific character that messed with Cass that my heart kept pounding when I read the texts! Did you know who the enemy was in advance or did you have other people in mind before settling with the people that were revealed? If so, who?!

(view spoiler)[I'm so glad you enjoyed The Breakdown, your question is very interesting! I did actually have another murderer in mind - Jane's cousin, the young man who committed suicide. In an earlier draft, he committed suicide out of remorse for killing Jane. But then I decided it would be better if Rachel was the killer, as best friends can often stab you in the back! Hello Miss Paris, I just wanted to say that your book was awesome. I love psychological-thrillers & your book is one of the examples how a great psych thriller should be. The way you portrayed how a strong person changes into a victim, how fear takes over someone's mind; it all was just mesmerizing. So my ques. is that did you study or research about any manipulative, psychotic characters for your book?

No ?, just wanted to reach out to you and let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed your book The Breakdown. In fact the entire book club I'm a part of on Facebook did. I pulled an all-nighter since I just could not put down the book and go to sleep and be kind to my eyes burning and yearning for sleep. Was the first book of yours that I read, but certainly not the last :)

Ms. Paris; Where did you publish your book? I've tried several things&sold quite a few books; however, my check's are something I have to fight with publisher to get. I had been told that I would get between 40-70%of the cover price &7 dollars for the eBooks.Well, that all turned out to be a lie. I got 2 Bucks a book&my last check was for three hundred dollars. That's six hundred books. [email protected]
