What inspired you to write the House of Night series?

P.C. Cast Way back in 2005 my agent asked me to consider writing a series set at a "vampire finishing school." I was teaching high school and immediately thought YA. Then I decided to set it in my hometown, smack in the middle of the bible belt, and make it empowering to those on the fringe - strongly matriarchal - and inclusive of all kinds of people - and the House of Night was born!

I've just finished reading the Goddess of Partholon series... absolutely awesome. Loved each and every one. Although I'm not quite sure what to do with myself now!! I read somewhere that you might possibly be writing a 6th book... Ciara's Destiny? Please please PLEASE tell me it's true!
