Who/What was the inspiration behind the character Suri in Age of Myth? She's insightful, innocent, and just the right amount of quirky. I was just wondering what inspirations you drew from your life to influence the character.

Hey there...you know, I really have no idea. I suspect that's not the answer you were looking for but it's all I got. I do see "some" similarities between her and Myron (a character in my Riyria Revelations books). They both have this "come what may" attitude that makes them pretty impervious to harm because they are content enough in their own lives that they have no fear of death. But Suri is more irreverent and as you mentioned "quirky."
I think at the end of the day I basically invent people I'd like to hand around with, and I think I'd have a lot of fun traipsing through the forest with Suri and Minna.
Thanks for asking.

Before jumping into Age of War, I'm re-reading Age of Swords to make sure I have a fresh memory of what happened in the last book (not that I could forget the ending, I just about cried). But there is something I wanted to ask regarding Roan. She's the ex-slave of Iver. She's the only slave that is mentioned in the village. Were people just okay with Iver owning another person? How prevalent was slavery to the Rhunes?

Hi there! I was looking at books (as one does) and found this https://www.abebooks.com/9780197671238/Born-Innocent-Protecting-Dependents-Accused-9780197672/plp. Is this you? If not, I can separate it from your name. Or we can leave it as it is, there’s just a note in the GR description asking for the change. Also, yes, I’ve read everything! of yours, and passed the books on to others. Thanks for writing!
