Ha - thanks for asking. You know, had I known that the series would have been published and would be popular I probably would have picked a better word. I chose this mainly because I liked the symetry of the letter (two sets of "ri" with a y in the middle.

I read Legends, Rise and Fall, then Revelations. I noticed that in the Empire books the elves all have blue eyes (Nolyn and Sephryn having the first? green eyes), but the elves introduced in Heir of Novron have green eyes. Is this just an error in continuity or does it signify the elves in Revelations are not "pure" somehow? Also, thank you so much. I was delighted I discovered your books from my library app!

Hi, Michael. I noticed while listening to Death of Dulgath and now while listening to Age of Myth that some of your scenery descriptions remind me of Ireland. Also, some of your place and character names are reminiscent of ancient Ireland (Nog, Meav). I recall that in Revelations you had a king named Ethlred. My question is, are you a British Isles history buff, and have you perhaps taken a trip over there?
