Also, The First Empire Series has been brilliant so far, Age of War was epic! and I loved how you had that link to the Riyria books... don't want to post spoilers, but I was shocked at the end! never saw that coming! Michael J. Sullivan Hey John, you are very welcome regarding the advice. I love helping out fellow authors, so if you ever have questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

And I'm thrilled you loved Age of War. We've just finished the line edits for Age of Legends and things are moving along smoothly for a July release.

As for connections between the Riyria books and the Legends series, yep there is more to come. Part of what I was doing with regards to Legends was telling you the truth behind various historical figures and events of the past. As we all know, history is written by the victors, so what people in the future know, and what ACTUALLY happened are oftentimes two very different things.

For those who only read on series or the other, they get a complete story, but for those that read both, there are some bonuses as you see how the two are connected. It's one of my favorite things about the arc of the whole story.

Oh, and I should mention, I'm currently working on "the bridge series" - a trilogy that fits between Legends and Riyria which, among other things, tells the true events related to the Fall of the Empire which follows Esrahaddon, Jerish and Nevrik. I have the first book written, and I'm 1/2 way through the second. Fun stuff!

I really like the multiple POVs in your "Legends of the First Empire" books :) But, when you have several main characters together (sometimes for a long time, like when a group of them goes on a quest - we notably had such group quests in "Age of Swords" and "Age of Legend"), then how do you choose which one of them should be the POV character at a certain point in time?

Just finished Age of Myth. The sneak peak of Age of Swords says it won't be released until summer of 2017. Does mean it will take four more years to release all of them?
